Overview
Half Nipples feature one flange and are usually used for welding ports to chambers.
Full Nipples feature the same size flange on either end and are used to connect components together.
Reducing (Adaptor) Nipples adapt two different flange sizes or styles. Tube size defaults to the standard size for the smallest flange.
Full and Reducing (Adaptor) Nipples are measured from flange face to flange face.
Half Nipples are measured from flange face to tube end.
Material is quoted as 304L SS.
All tapped flanges are quoted with imperial threads.

Maximum Overall Length (OAL)
We can provide you with immediate accurate pricing for any custom nipple up to 96.00" OAL.
• Full Nipples are measured from flange face to flange face.
• Half Nipples are measured from flange face to tube end.
• Reducing (Adapter) Nipples are measured from flange face to flange face.
Minimum Overall Length (OAL)
The tables located in the "Additional Flange Information" section below shows the Minimum Overall Length that we can provide immediate pricing for.
The Minimum Overall Length is set to allow for attaching mounting nuts after welding the nipple to a plate of the same thickness as the tube OD.
We can provide immediate accurate pricing for custom nipples at or above the Minimum Overall Length.
Reducing (Adapter) Nipples Minimum Overall Length is determined by whichever flange has the larger Minimum OAL that will be the Minimum OAL.
Smaller lengths are possible by using bulkhead clamps (NW Nipples) or threaded studs (CF Nipples).

How many different pricable combinations are there? There are approximately 34,770,000 different priceable combinations.
The decimal only goes down to 2 decimal places what if I want something more specific like 32/79’s? Select the Advanced Options dropdown in the length area. Then select Decimal Calculator and type in the numerator and denominator. Click Calculate, then Input and it will input the nearest decimal. Also, make sure that you put the fraction in the Notes section so we can get your length correct.

Can I use the nipple fabricator during the LDS vacation shutdown? Yes, the only times that you can’t use the Nipple Fabricator is when it is down for maintenance.
How long does it take to build my custom nipple? Lead times vary depending on what you are ordering, generally custom nipples below 40" will typically ship in 5 working days for quantities up to 5, delivery will be confirmed at point of order. The amount of time spent on the Custom Nipple Fabricator is all dependent on how long you choose to spend on it.
Is my custom nipple price set in stone? No, we strive to maintain the lowest prices so if our competitors lower their prices we lower ours. Unfortunately, the reverse is true if tariff's or more taxes are implemented that raise our prices, we will do our best to absorb the increase but prices might increase. The price provided is an estimated price and is subject to change at any time.
Is shipping and handling included in the estimated price? No, since this is just a custom nipple request, the price is just for the nipple itself.
Is my custom nipple polished? What kind of polish is used? LDS provides OD Polish on custom nipples with a Tube OD of 4” and smaller.

Do I need to complete a Due Diligence Checklist? If your final destination is outside the Continental United States, Alaska or Hawaii then yes. Any territory of the United States including Puerto Rico, Guam, US Virgin Islands, Northern Mariana Islands and all others must also fill out a Due Diligence Checklist.
Can I return the nipple if I don’t like it? No, all custom parts are non-returnable and non-refundable due to their custom nature.
Why does it say down for maintenance? When the Nipple Fabricator is down for maintenance we are usually improving the codes, scripts, user interface or updating prices. We want to make sure that the user experience is fast and fluid.
How long will it be down for maintenance? We always plan out our updates and improvements to ensure that they are completed quickly and have a minimum impact on a customer’s experience. UI, Coding and Scripting updates take at most 30 mins. Updating Prices usually takes 30 mins - 2 hours.
How do I pay for my custom nipple? Once you submit a request, the information provided will be looked over and one of our sale associates will contact you at the email provided on your request form and continue the process to make sure that you get the correct item.
I get an error message when I try to make a custom nipple, what’s going on? General errors are assigned error codes (i.e. Error Code 5HLI: Half Nipple Length Contains Invalid Characters) If your error is a general error write down the error code take a screenshot and email the image and a short narrative explaining what you were doing to
